This Tokyo-Italian fusion is satisfying. Greenwich Grill has made two lasting impressions on me already in terms of service and raw fish. I am comforted in knowing that walking into this restaurant, the lunch menu can satiate my needs for proper nutrition, no matter what I order, with a good amount of vegetables (what I truly appreciate), starch, carbohydrates, and protein. This also reveals an attempt to balance flavors well. The restaurant, table, seating, and food design carries well the Japanese’s attention to detail when food is involved. Some of the waitresses are Japanese, as the art on the walls and decor are Japanese. The utensils are beautiful and come with custom indented holders. The chopsticks are beautiful – light and great quality. Pepper and salt shakers are mini grinders, so you may have freshly ground seasoning. A water container is offered at the table as many nice TriBeCa and SoHo restaurants standardized. A bread basket is offered per two people. The prix fixe lunch is a great deal, as half the menu comes with a mini soda or alcoholic beverage, tea for desert, and an actual desert. My Tuna Carpaccio was fantastic. However, my Sea Urchin and Clam Linguini was a little too salty, but the taste of the 8 fresh clams was strong even in the broth. The burgers are made with very awesome beef, served with wax paper to make the meal slightly less messy. The garnish came separately while the top of the burger was set next to the burger for you to properly garnish your burger. The Raspberry Panna Cotta and my own pot and cup of fresh green tea leaves was a refreshing way to end my lunch. Make sure to return for lunch. No sushi from Sushi Azabu is offered at lunch (though ask for the menu at dinner). Squid ink tagliatelle (my favorite pasta) is fantastic. If you can afford dinner, do visit for some delicious nigiri.
