Rub BBQ

The restaurant in Chelsea is now closed.

The menu here is pretty clean cut. It’s your average barbecue place with some extra perks and humor. Generally do not waste the beef brisket or the chili, which were not particularly interesting unless you had a personal preference. The pulled pork was of decent flavor, enjoyable and not too salty. Start out small because a meat platter was probably enough for my party of two. As for sides or appetizers, beware of the hard to digest. The fries were well seasoned, but avoid the potato salad and try the onion strings. The waitress did refill my lemonade, which was nice and came in a plastic cup so I took it to go. I don’t know if they normally do refills, but it does not hurt to ask when you order! The bar with fountain and restaurant-branded beers does imply that this is your casual date night place. Not to mention this place is next to some unique donuts and awesome macarons.

By the way, on the wait staff’s branded shirts is the slogan “Best butts in town.” On the menu, the Down Home Pig Pick’n is 94 dollars, whole butt, bone-n-all.
